We're doing our bit by featuring lots of extra oysterness at the galleries. We're especially happy to introduce Emily Hiestand's pigment print photographs:
The shells photographed in this series belong to oysters from Wellfleet Bay and the series' title, "Consider the Oyster" is a nod to MFK Fisher's classic 1941 book about the humble bivalve. The photographs were made in ambient morning and afternoon light; the luminosity comes from the shells themselves. You can see more on our website.

Audrey - so good to hear from you. Still haven't made it out from Seattle to Wellfleet...someday. We have had more than one customer come into our store Click!, wearing Smersh Design jewelry that they bought from Left Bank - love that!
