Judi Goudreau

We just received our order of little dogs by Judi Goudreau! There are many to choose from - each is different. Some are glazed and others are woodfired. This will give you an idea of what they look like (although this particular one is no longer available):

If you're looking for a special dog, drop by soon before they all scamper away!

Kate Nelson on working small

"One would think a large painting would be more "work" than a small. But often that's not the case. The sensory impulse which draws me to create large sweeping gestures which are possible in a 4 foot canvas need to find an alternate outlet in a 8 or 12 inch piece. How to keep the freshness of a spontaneous mark and find richness in texture, color and form? A challenge. Overworking is an ever-lurking danger. Freshness with substance, there's the key.
"Small beautiful things impel us to pay attention, to halt the passage of time, to get lost in the details. Intimate. Accessible. Approachable. Affordable." - Kate Nelson

Odin Smith - Small Treasures

"Aptly named, the Left Bank's "Small Treasures Show" is like entering an artist's realm in a very accessible way. Creating little worlds is my way of giving the viewer the gift of place through my eyes. The paintings are like small gems, many of which can be hung, placed on shelves or in those tiny places that larger pieces can't go. They are also a great way for a first time collector to get an artist's work, or a special addition to an already established collection." - Odin Smith

Del-Bourree Bach - Small Treasures

"I have always enjoyed the challenge of painting small along with doing larger work. Painting "miniatures" or "little pix" is quite different from doing the same subject larger - when you need to put all your thought into a small space each stroke counts in a special way. Although sometimes I will do a small painting (either plein air or on the studio) then expand it, I also work the other direction. I may do a larger piece and then want the different challenge of realizing something similar on a small scale. I don't think of small paintings as lesser paintings and it's nice to have the opportunity to showcase them." -Del-Bourree Bach
